Victory in a New Year!

Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 2:14, "Thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place."

How can I say that we will have victory in 2017? Because we have the promise of God that "in Christ" we will always be led in triumph. We are always victorious in Christ! We can serve God with the confidence of an assured faith that Jesus has already won the war. We are still in the battlefield, but the war is won! Victory in Jesus our savior forever!

This year we are going to be a Church that is focused on spreading the Gospel. We will make an impact on the world as the knowledge of Christ goes into every place. The key to victory is in the faithfulness of spreading God's Word. To some we will be an aroma of Christ unto salvation. To others we will be the fragrance of death leading to death. Our role is to sow the seed, God will save.

Paul asks the question, "Who is sufficient for these things?" We all feel insufficient to share the Gospel. But remember that God has promised us that He will be with us and will give us the words to say. All God requires is that we be ourselves, and allow God to work in our hearts and lives.
